Branch Manager Position Description
The Role:
The Branch Manager position is in the leadership
category of “Driver.” As a Driver, you will be responsible for actively managing all
aspects of the branch to ensure its success. Your primary focus will be on achieving
financial goals, delivering high-quality services, and maintaining customer
satisfaction. You will lead sales efforts, oversee production, and manage all branch
operations. Success in this role will be driven by your proactive management,
strategic planning, and effective resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Marketing:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Maintain relationships with existing clients and ensure high levels of customer
satisfaction.
Coordinate marketing activities to promote the branch and its services.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
2. Production:
Oversee all landscape installation and maintenance projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest
quality standards.
Manage and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and
effectiveness.
3. Financial Management:
Develop and manage the branch budget.
Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
Prepare financial reports and forecasts for the regional manager.
4. Human Resources:
Recruit, hire, and train branch staff in conjunction with the HR department.
Manage employee performance, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure compliance with all HR policies and regulations.
5. IT and Systems Management:
Ensure staff are adequately trained on Boss and the relevant software and
tools.
Manage data integrity and security.
6. Safety:
Promote a culture of safety within the branch.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
Conduct regular safety training and inspections.
Investigate and resolve any safety incidents.
Qualifications:
Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Horticulture, Landscape
Management, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the landscape industry, with at least 3
years in a managerial role.
Proven track record of achieving sales and financial goals.
Experience managing large teams and complex projects.
Skills:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and landscape management software.
Knowledge of local landscape industry trends and best practices.
Certifications:
Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) or equivalent certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
