Responsibilities:
Clear pathways for career advancement within the company
Assess the health of trees and shrubs, identifying diseases, pests, and environmental stressors
Develop and implement treatment plans to improve plant vitality
Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and treatments for pest and disease control
Tree & Shrub Preservation
Perform root care treatments, deep root fertilization, and soil conditioning
Conduct insect and disease management using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques
Implement cabling and bracing techniques when necessary to ensure structural stability
Safety & Equipment Operation
Properly handle and apply pesticides, fungicides, and fertilizers following industry and regulatory standards
Maintain and operate application equipment, spray rigs, and other plant healthcare tools
Follow strict safety protocols and environmental guidelines to ensure responsible application
Customer Education & Team Collaboration
Educate clients on proper tree care, watering, and maintenance practices
Work closely with arborists, climbers, and grounds crew to integrate PHC into overall tree care services
Provide excellent customer service and communicate recommendations effectively
Preferred Qualification / Experience & Certifications
Experience in plant healthcare, arboriculture, or horticulture
Knowledge of tree biology, pests, diseases, and soil science
Ability to identify common tree health issues and recommend treatments
Valid Pesticide Applicator License or willingness to obtain one
ISA Certified Arborist or Tree Worker certification is a plus
Skills & Physical Requirements
Strong knowledge of tree and plant care best practices
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks
Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills
No Experience? No Problem!
