Horticulturist/Supervisor

Rocksolid Enterprises is looking for the right individual to help LEAD our team in providing professional landscape maintenance services for the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

The successful applicant will join our established, growing, in-house team of skilled landscape labourers, working to enhance the beauty of the landscape throughout and around YVR.

Requirements & Qualifications:
-Horticulturists certification - min 2 years education
-Experience in a leadership position with multiple employees
-Enjoys being out in the field working with others
-Has the ability to supervise and oversee large commercial accounts
-Displays a strong leadership characteristic with excellent problem solving
-Has a valid BC drivers license with a clean abstract

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Give direction to crews, organize and schedule
-Direction to areas of importance
-Communicate with account representatives including Rocksolid head office
-Fill out daily reports and communicates with head office
-Ensuring WorkSafe BC health and safety procedures are being followed
-Can plan out day to day tasks such as mowing and trimming of grass, raking and cultivating garden beds, pruning and trimming of plants and shrubs
-Training and educating new employees
-Has a high level of plant identification

-Wage from $30.00 - $35.00 an hour or based on experience
