Landscape and Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Landscape & Maintenance Specialist to care for and enhance the outdoor environment of Riverbend Retreat-Fla. The ideal candidate has experience in landscape design, hardscaping, and general property maintenance. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in creating beautiful, functional, and safe outdoor spaces that support our mission of restoration and reflection.

Key Responsibilities:

Landscape & Design:

• Design and implement small landscape improvements that enhance natural beauty and guest experience

• Select, plant, and maintain native and ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees

• Coordinate seasonal planting and upkeep, including beds and walkways

• Mow, edge, trim, weed, and replace pine bark.

• Fertilize and manage pests

• Maintain irrigation systems and recommend water-efficient upgrades

Hardscape & Grounds Maintenance:

• Install and maintain hardscape features (e.g., pavers, retaining walls, outdoor seating areas)

• Repair and maintain shell paths, drainage features

• Perform routine upkeep of the dock, pool area, and outdoor furnishings

• Ensure pathways and outdoor areas are safe, clean, and inviting

General Maintenance:

• Perform basic repairs on tools, equipment, and property fixtures

• Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs or hazards

• Support event setup and breakdown as needed (tables, signs, outdoor lighting)

• Coordinate with external contractors when specialized services are required

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in landscape design, hardscape installation, and property maintenance

• Strong working knowledge of Florida native plants and sustainable landscaping practices

• Proficiency with landscaping tools and equipment

• Ability to work independently, manage time, and complete projects with excellence

• Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, digging, and working in outdoor conditions year-round

• Passion for hospitality, stewardship, and creating welcoming environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in landscape design or horticulture

• Familiarity with irrigation systems, pool maintenance, and pest control

• Experience working on retreat centers, resorts, or residential estates
