Forklift Operator - Special Project About the Role We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team for a special project assisting with our warehouse relocation. This temporary position will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition to our new facility while maintaining operational efficiency. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transfer materials between the existing and new warehouse locations Assist with organizing and arranging inventory in the new warehouse layout Follow proper material handling procedures for various product types Maintain accurate records of items moved and their new locations Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions Collaborate with the warehouse relocation team to meet project deadlines Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company protocols Qualifications Valid forklift certification/license Minimum 2 year of experience operating Sit-down forklifts in a warehouse environment Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations Physical ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective communication abilities Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed during the relocation process What We Offer Competitive hourly rate Potential for extension or permanent placement upon successful completion Valuable experience working on a specialized relocation project Professional development in logistics and warehouse management Project Duration This position is expected to last approximately 5 weeks coinciding with our warehouse relocation timeline.
