A high-end landscape design and installation company in Northern Colorado is seeking an
experienced General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and help drive the business into its
next phase of growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real impact, you'll guide projects from client consultation to
final walkthrough, managing design, estimating, scheduling, and overall execution to ensure
excellence at every step.
The Role
You will take ownership of the big picture: sales, planning, design coordination, and client
satisfaction. A strong support team is in place to handle day-to-day crew operations and materials,
allowing you to focus on what matters most-delivering outstanding results and building lasting client
relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Client Consultations - Meet with residential and commercial clients, understand their
vision, and translate it into compelling landscape plans.
- Design or Design Oversight - Produce conceptual plans using design software or coordinate with
an in-house/contracted designer.
- Estimating & Proposals - Prepare accurate, itemized bids and communicate value clearly to clients.
- Scheduling & Planning - Create timelines, coordinate labor and subcontractors, and ensure project
milestones are hit.
- Project Oversight - Monitor progress, maintain quality control, and resolve challenges to keep jobs
running smoothly.
You'll Be Supported By:
- An experienced on-site crew lead who manages daily fieldwork
- Additional field support for materials, measuring, and assisting with drafting
- A team of reliable subcontractors for specialty work (irrigation, masonry, etc.)
- Ownership focused on strategic support, growth, and investing in your success
What We're Looking For
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Experience in landscape or construction project management
- Confidence in sales and client communication
- Ability to design or manage design processes using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or PRO
Landscape
- Estimating experience and understanding of landscape installation
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
Nice To Have
- Horticulture or plant selection knowledge, especially for Colorado's climate
- Familiarity with vendor and subcontractor management
- Local knowledge of the Northern Colorado market
Compensation & Opportunity
- $60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience
- Paid onboarding and training period with outgoing leadership
- Room for growth into a higher leadership role as the company expands
